The Central Training Coordinator plays a pivotal role in enhancing the performance of all employees at Harrison Steel by designing and conducting comprehensive training activities. This position is responsible for analyzing training needs and implementing improvement initiatives that not only enhance individual capabilities but also contribute to the overall organizational performance. The coordinator will work closely with both Human Resources and Production departments to ensure that all employees receive adequate training tailored to their roles and responsibilities. A key responsibility of the Central Training Coordinator is to implement and maintain an effective learning management system. This includes developing training materials, instructional designs, and tools that facilitate effective knowledge transfer processes. The coordinator will ensure that all employees are properly trained across the facilities, which involves reviewing On-the-Job Training (OJT) and Work Contract performance, as well as assessing and improving training methodologies. This role is crucial in addressing performance metrics that are not being met during the initial stages of employment and throughout an employee's lifecycle at the company. The coordinator will deliver a variety of training programs to the site population, supporting departmental needs while coordinating with department managers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This includes designing and delivering content that explains the science behind processes to bolster organizational knowledge capability. Active participation in operational area meetings is essential to ensure adherence to training strategies. The coordinator will also be responsible for planning all employee training, including continuous improvement initiatives, recertifications, and policy instructions. In addition, the Central Training Coordinator will design and deliver new hire training to facilitate an effective onboarding process. They will communicate with department managers regarding employee learning needs to ensure timely curriculum adherence. Identifying vulnerabilities within operational tasks to propose improvement initiatives is a critical aspect of this role. The coordinator will also develop and deliver trainer activities for employee certification and create evaluation methods to measure training effectiveness. Maintaining accurate training records and collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to assess departmental needs are also key responsibilities. The coordinator may assist with various HR activities as needed, ensuring a holistic approach to employee development and training.
