About the position
This position works within the Global Corporate Trust business unit at U.S. Bank, focusing on cash and asset management of trust accounts. The role involves monitoring and investing balances, valuing assets and collateral, and ensuring compliance with governing trust documents. The individual will prepare trust accounting system entries, calculate and execute debt retirements, and interact with specialized units to maintain quality measurements for account managers. Some direct client interaction may also be involved.
Responsibilities
- Manage cash and asset accounts for trust accounts.
- Monitor and invest account balances in compliance with governing trust documents.
- Prepare trust accounting system entries and execute debt retirements.
- Interact with specialized units to ensure adherence to cash and asset management procedures.
- Provide quality measurements to account managers.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or technical education, or equivalent work experience.
- Less than two years of related experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Working knowledge of investments and accounting transactions.
- Ability to interpret bond financing documents.
- Strong mathematical calculation skills including percentages and ratios.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other software packages.
- Experience with Trust Accounting and Bond Accounting systems.
