Responsibilities

• Perform periodic head counts of inmates.
• Conduct searches of all areas accessible to inmates.
• Check incoming visitors and packages for contraband.
• Perform pat or strip searches of inmates as needed.

• Monitor inmate movement and transport inmates to various locations.
• Maintain logs of inmate movements and verify authorizations for activities.
• Direct inmate access to various facilities and ensure orderly transitions.
• Monitor inmate activities and maintain discipline and security.
• Prepare reports and maintain records related to inmate activities.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or GED certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
• Experience in related education or work is preferred.
• Stable work history and reliable attendance.
• Military experience is a plus.
