About the position
Southern Health Partners is seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Caldwell County Jail. This position offers a supportive and safe environment for nurses who are committed to providing high-quality patient care in a correctional healthcare setting. The role includes working night shifts with alternating weekends, and it emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care and evaluate symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients.
- Chart results and establish nursing plans within the boundaries of State Scope of Practice and Guidelines.
- Administer prescribed medications in accordance with nursing standards and correctional regulations.
- Follow through with established treatment plans and perform emergency interventions.
- Conduct physical assessments and apply critical thinking in patient care.
Requirements
- Current LVN license in the state of practice.
- Experience in nursing, preferably in a correctional or similar healthcare setting.
- Ability to work night shifts and weekends as required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
