About the position

Southern Health Partners is seeking dedicated LPNs or RNs to provide high-quality patient care in a correctional healthcare setting. This role emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and a positive attitude, offering a supportive environment for nurses to thrive. The position involves a 12-hour day shift rotation with alternating weekends, and includes a sign-on and retention bonus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care and evaluate symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients.
• Chart results and establish nursing plans in accordance with State Scope of Practice and Guidelines.
• Administer prescribed medications following nursing standards and correctional regulations.
• Follow through with established treatment plans.
• Perform emergency interventions and conduct physical assessments using critical thinking.

Requirements

• Valid LPN or RN license in the state of practice.
• Experience in patient care, preferably in a correctional or similar healthcare setting.
• Strong critical thinking and emergency intervention skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
• Bilingual skills to communicate with diverse patient populations.
