About the position
Southern Health Partners is seeking dedicated LPNs or RNs to provide high-quality nursing care in a correctional healthcare setting. This role emphasizes patient care, teamwork, and adherence to nursing standards within a supportive environment. Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care and evaluate symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients.
- Chart results and establish nursing plans in accordance with State Scope of Practice and Guidelines.
- Administer prescribed medications following nursing standards and correctional regulations.
- Follow through with established treatment plans and perform emergency interventions.
- Conduct physical assessments and apply critical thinking in patient care.
Requirements
- Valid LPN or RN license in the state of practice.
- Experience in nursing, preferably in a correctional or similar healthcare setting.
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
