About the position
The position is for a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) at the St. Croix County Jail, focusing on providing patient care in a correctional setting. Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care and evaluate symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients.
- Chart results and establish nursing plans within the boundaries of State Scope of Practice and Guidelines.
- Administer prescribed medications in accordance with nursing standards and correctional regulations.
- Follow through with established treatment plans and perform emergency interventions.
- Conduct physical assessments and apply critical thinking in patient care.
Requirements
- Current LPN or RN license in the state of practice.
- Ability to work evening shifts, specifically 2p - 10p, for 2 shifts per week.
- Experience in patient care, particularly in a correctional or similar environment is preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in emergency intervention and critical thinking in nursing.
- Familiarity with correctional healthcare regulations.
