Responsibilities
- Maintain order and security of inmates in a correctional facility.
- Provide direct supervision of inmates during housing, meals, recreation, and work assignments.
- Employ weapons or force when necessary to maintain discipline and order.
- Work various shifts and be assigned to different posts including armory, housing units, kitchen, medical, and visitation.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to complete required training successfully.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Nice-to-haves
- COTA certification with more than a year's worth of experience.
