Requirements

• High School diploma or GED and two years of experience as a correctional officer, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Documented knowledge of Facility Operations.
• Documented knowledge of Prisons' Policy and Procedures.
• Eligibility for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.

Responsibilities

• Supervise subordinate officers in their assigned tasks with inmates.
• Assign subordinate officers to specific areas or posts.
• Ensure the custody and welfare of inmates is maintained.
• Perform duties according to standard departmental procedures.
• Rotate through various duty assignments as required.
