About the position
The Corrections Officer position at the Greene County Sheriff's Office involves maintaining the safety and security of inmates in two full-service facilities. Officers work a 12-hour shift schedule, with every other weekend off, and are responsible for overseeing inmate activities and ensuring compliance with facility regulations. Responsibilities
- Maintain the safety and security of inmates in the facility.
- Oversee inmate activities and ensure compliance with facility regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility and report any issues.
- Assist in the transportation of inmates as required.
- Respond to emergencies and disturbances within the facility.
- Complete required documentation and reports accurately and timely.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid Ohio State Driver's License required.
- Ability to read and speak English fluently.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
