About the position
The Correctional RN at Amergis is responsible for providing both routine and emergency healthcare to the incarcerated population in a correctional facility. This role requires collaboration with healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure the well-being of patients while navigating the unique challenges of the correctional environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide routine and emergency healthcare to incarcerated individuals.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and correctional staff to ensure patient well-being.
- Address specific health challenges and limitations within the correctional setting.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse License for the state of practice.
- Minimum of one year of correctional healthcare experience preferred.
- Current CPR certification if applicable.
- TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable.
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
