About the position

The Cortex XSOAR Application Support Engineer position is a hybrid role based in Houston, Texas, requiring the candidate to work onsite 2-3 days a week. This permanent position offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 to $120,000 per year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical support, particularly in customer-facing roles such as Senior Support Engineer or Escalations Engineer. The role involves providing application support for Cortex XSOAR, a security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) platform, which requires hands-on experience with automation and response functionalities. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the Cortex XSOAR platform, ensuring that clients receive excellent service and support. The position demands proficiency in various scripting languages and technologies, including Linux, JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, and Ansible. Additionally, a solid understanding of security technologies such as firewalls, endpoint prevention, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with clients and convey technical information clearly. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, showcasing the ability to solve problems effectively and efficiently. This role is suited for individuals with a minimum of three years of experience in a similar technical support capacity, and a bachelor's degree is required. The work hours are from 8 AM to 4 PM, providing a structured schedule for the engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Provide application support for Cortex XSOAR platform.

Requirements

  • Experience with Ansible for automation tasks.
