About the position

The Cost Accountant position is a newly created role within an established Fort Worth-based manufacturer, driven by the company's growth. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining the standard cost accounting system and conducting continual analysis of costs. This role is crucial for determining the cost of sales and inventory value, which will provide strategic insights into process improvements aimed at driving revenues and eliminating losses. In this position, the Cost Accountant will create and sustain a comprehensive standard cost accounting system, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis of variances. The candidate will be tasked with generating reports that utilize cost analysis to provide key metrics for cyclical analysis, which will aid in decision-making processes. Additionally, the role will involve responsibilities related to month-end close activities, inventory reconciliations, and providing audit support. The Cost Accountant will also serve as the liaison for audits during year-end reporting, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum of 2 years of Manufacturing and Cost Accounting experience.
