About the position

The Cost Accountant position at Vaco involves managing cost processes, including the creation and revision of Bill of Materials (BOMs), conducting cost model testing and analysis, and collaborating with various departments to optimize cost efficiencies. This full-time onsite role is essential for monitoring supplier performance and conducting gap analysis to meet performance targets.

Responsibilities

• Manage BOM processes and produce/revise existing BOMs.
• Perform comprehensive cost model testing and analysis.
• Handle purchasing with a focus on cost and quality.
• Support engineering in new product development and benchmarking.
• Provide feedback on finance cost standards.
• Collaborate with the estimating department on optimization and costing efficiencies.
• Monitor performance in assigned areas and conduct gap analysis.

Requirements

• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in cost management and analysis.
• Strong understanding of BOM processes and management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and estimating departments.
