About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial data, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting the organization's financial goals. This position requires strong technical accounting skills and the ability to analyze financial information effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, including forecasts and budgets.
  • Perform account reconciliation for both accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends and variances in financial performance.
  • Utilize Xero software for efficient accounting operations and reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and technical accounting documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Provide insights on cost control measures and recommend improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial accounting or cost accounting roles.
  • Strong skills in financial analysis, account reconciliation, and report writing.
  • Familiarity with Xero or similar accounting software is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present financial information.
