The Judge Group is currently seeking a Cost Accounting Analyst for a client in the Winchester, VA area. This position is critical in ensuring accurate and timely inventory transactions, which includes responsibilities such as collaborating with operational teams and monitoring inventory movements to identify and address significant issues promptly. The ideal candidate will develop expertise in manufacturing operations, focusing on cost analysis and providing valuable business insights. In this role, the Cost Accounting Analyst will create costing models to support new business opportunities that align with pricing strategies. Continuous improvement of profit and cost efficiencies across various areas of the organization is a key focus. The analyst will track the cost per unit for all finished goods SKUs and perform annual standard cost development and cost roll processes. Additionally, the analyst will analyze cost and variance trends, recommending appropriate actions based on their findings. The position also requires the preparation of monthly operational reports on material, labor, and overhead efficiency compared to plan and standards. The analyst will conduct ad hoc analyses as requested by business or regulatory authorities and fulfill other duties as needed to support the organization’s financial health and operational efficiency.
