About the position

The Cost Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in enhancing the costing function within a rapidly growing manufacturing company. This position involves developing product line profit and loss statements, analyzing production variances, and providing insights into product margins. The role is designed for a proactive individual who can lead initiatives to improve profitability and efficiency while fostering a data-centric culture within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the costing function.
• Own the production variances and continuous improvement items around these variances.
• Provide insight into product margins and variances.
• Develop product line profit and loss statements.
• Determine profitability of customers and product lines and recommend improvements.
• Improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
• Automate and deploy KPI reporting.
• Ensure adherence to cycle counts and internal controls regarding costing.
• Grow into an FP&A lead role in the future.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or costing role.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong growth mindset and motivated by a performance culture.
• Ability to work cross-functionally within the organization.
• Highly autonomous and self-directed.
• Comfortable in a direct and candid environment focused on results.
