About the position

The Cost Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring robust processes for inventory, accounts payable (AP), and treasury that support the company's growing global operations. This position requires a blend of technical accounting expertise and people management skills to identify process improvements, reduce processing times, and develop a high-performing team. The role reports directly to the Corporate Controller and is pivotal in managing financial processes and providing insights to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manages the month-end closing process for Inventory and AP, providing insight and analysis to leaders on budget to actual differences.
• Oversees Inventory and AP estimates, ensuring accruals and reserves are correctly calculated in accordance with US GAAP.
• Responsible for the treasury function, ensuring liquidity to support current and future business growth.
• Works with the parent company to meet all corporate treasury requests and requirements.
• Manages a high-performing team, providing mentorship and guidance for their technical and professional development.
• Builds robust, scalable processes to support the continued growth of the business in multiple geographies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within consumer products and/or manufacturing environments.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding and application of US GAAP.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and systems view of accounting processes and procedures.
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Oracle and Hyperion is a plus.
• Experience supporting growing, global businesses preferred.
