We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Cost Accounting Manager in Mission Viejo, California. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our accounting team, focusing on handling customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. This role also involves monitoring customer accounts and implementing necessary actions. The Cost Accounting Manager will conduct regular reviews and analyses of monthly reports on material, labor, and overhead efficiency, ensuring that the company maintains its financial health and profitability. In this position, you will develop and maintain financial cost reports for standard and gross margin analyses, ensuring that all financial data is accurate and up-to-date. You will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of biweekly and monthly payrolls for processing, translating data into meaningful statistics to provide qualitative analysis and process improvements. Managing cost information effectively will be crucial to enhancing profitability, and you will create detailed reports on product costing, cost variance analysis, direct and indirect costs, variable and fixed costs, and operating costs. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential as you work to predict and improve the cost of production. You will analyze reports and tools to identify cost exceptions, forecast cost-related changes and risks, and recommend cost-effective solutions. Additionally, building databases and using accounting software systems such as Epicor and ADP for financial services will be part of your responsibilities.
