About the position

The Cost Accounting Supervisor/Manager at Vaco is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. This hybrid role requires a strong background in inventory accounting and involves managing the month-end close process, as well as assisting with audits and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial reporting and general ledger reconciliations.
• Oversee journal entries and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Lead the month-end close process.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Manage the physical inventory process.
• Prepare book to physical adjustments.
• Oversee the inventory accounting process to ensure compliance with company policy and US GAAP.
• Perform monthly inventory excess and obsolescence reserve analysis.
• Validate accuracy of inventory balances and costs in all systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• At least 4 years of inventory accounting experience.
