About the position

The Cost Allocation and Financial Analysis Specialist will serve as a key business partner, responsible for supporting strategic financial analysis and project management within a fast-paced environment. This role involves leading system enhancements, establishing unit costs, and driving process improvements while collaborating with various business units to enhance profitability reporting and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support projects and ad hoc strategic and financial analysis.
  • Lead and support new system requirements/enhancements.
  • Define components of a unit cost and establish policy and reporting procedures.
  • Establish standard unit costs during the planning process and facilitate discussions on changes in annual rates and volumes.
  • Identify areas for process improvements and ensure training materials, policies, and procedures are up to date.
  • Work with Business Unit leads to develop, execute, and institutionalize complex value-add initiatives.

Requirements

  • 8 or more years of cost allocation/financial analysis experience.
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • MBA, CFA, or CPA is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Cognos, Hyperion HFM, TM1 is a plus.
  • Coding/programming knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and manage projects effectively.
  • Intimate knowledge of cost allocation and experience with various platforms (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate internal resources across multiple projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with financial analysis in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills.
