About the position

The Cost Controller at Creo Group is responsible for leading key cost accounting functions, including standard costing, bill of materials (BOMs), customer pricing, and inventory management. This role is integral to the Accounting and Finance Department, emphasizing cross-functional communication and collaboration to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain standard costing systems for accurate product costing and financial reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance cost accounting functions and increase efficiency.
• Prepare and analyze bill of materials (BOMs) for accuracy and consistency across product lines.
• Assist in customer pricing preparation, accounting for standard, actual, and forecasted future cost inputs.
• Analyze and model cost variations resulting from operational enhancements.
• Monitor and evaluate cost variances and financial metrics, providing detailed reports and insights to management.
• Collaborate with production teams to establish and update labor and overhead rates.
• Support annual cost roles and budgeting processes with cost projections and historical data analysis.
• Ensure accuracy of inventory records within the warehouse management system and financial records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with GAAP accounting practices.
• Ability to present financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
