About the position

The Cost Controller role is a critical position responsible for managing, monitoring, and reporting on non-recurrent project costs in alignment with both local and global requirements. This position will handle some of the company's most confidential projects, necessitating a mature and experienced controlling manager. The role is designed for a duration of 2-5 years and will be based in Broomfield, Colorado, offering a hybrid work schedule that combines both in-office and remote work. In this position, you will be accountable for the management and oversight of Non-Recurring Cost projects, actively engaging in all aspects of the process. You will ensure that projects remain on track concerning budgets and timelines, serving as a vital liaison to coordinate the schedules and tasks of various internal teams, global teams, and suppliers. This will involve gathering insights, approvals, and contributions from multiple stakeholders, making it essential to implement and organize effective project management programs and tools to streamline processes and systems. Your role will also include monitoring performance and identifying areas for improvement by developing key performance indicators for critical project metrics. You will be tasked with completing ad hoc assignments to support capital transmission project delivery, maintaining current and forecasted cash flow data in comparison to projected cash flow, and managing project accounting databases to ensure timely security and control. Furthermore, you will facilitate direct financial communication with Supply Chain Finance directors, project teams, FP&A, accounting, and global finance stakeholders, ensuring the accuracy of financial information across various systems and reporting levels.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor performance and determine improvement areas by developing key performance indicators for critical project metrics
  • Complete ad hoc assignments to support capital transmission project delivery
  • Maintain current and forecasted Cash Flow data when compared to projected Cash Flow
  • Manage project accounting databases to ensure timely security and control
  • Offer direct financial communication with Supply Chain Finance directors, project teams, FP&A, accounting, and global finance stakeholders
  • Ensure financial information accuracy between financial systems (I-proview & SAP) and program-level and subproject reporting

Requirements

  • Proven experience in cost control and project management
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop key performance indicators
  • Experience with financial systems such as I-proview and SAP
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
