About the position

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital is designed to support the hospital's strategic plan and mission of providing high-quality, personalized healthcare services. The COTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to assist patients in their recovery process, promoting maximal participation and responsibility in their rehabilitation following various health challenges. This role emphasizes compassion, integrity, excellence, teamwork, and commitment in delivering care.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in their recovery process under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Implement treatment techniques according to the discipline-specific practice act.
• Provide care in accordance with Rehab Department policies and procedures.
• Support patients in preventing disability and promoting participation in their recovery programs.
• Understand and practice economic constraints to conserve resources.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an ACOTE accredited school.
• Current License from the Occupational Therapy Board of California.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 1+ years of clinical experience is highly preferred.
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills.
