About The Position
The Housing Specialist - Hotline at the Council for the Homeless (CFTH) plays a vital role in assisting individuals and families facing homelessness by providing excellent customer service and accurate information over the phone. This position involves screening callers for emergency shelter and housing programs, ensuring a supportive and empathetic environment while maintaining strong boundaries and trauma-informed practices. The specialist will also manage data entry in the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding challenges and opportunities for improvement.
