About the position

The Counsel for Operations and Supply Chain at Pratt & Whitney is responsible for providing legal support to the Operations and Global Supply Chain teams. This role requires expertise in manufacturing and supply chain operations, along with a strong background in contractual analysis and dispute resolution. The position emphasizes proactive legal risk management and fostering partnerships within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support for Pratt & Whitney Operations and Global Supply Chain organizations.
• Manage original equipment manufacturer (OEM) manufacturing sites and product/non-product commodities.
• Identify and address legal risks in business-centric ways.
• Manage and mitigate disputes effectively.
• Advise on compliance with government contracts and regulatory requirements.
• Foster strong partnerships with clients and stakeholders.
• Provide strategic legal guidance across Operations and Supply Chain organizations.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) and 10+ years of legal experience.
• 5+ years of relevant legal experience at a law firm and/or in-house.
• Good standing with a state bar association and in-house counsel registration.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen for security clearance eligibility.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant law firm experience and prior in-house experience in a multi-national corporation.
• Aerospace or defense industry experience.
• Experience in federal government procurement compliance (FAR and DFARS).
• Experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating supply chain contracts.
• Ability to think and work proactively and strategically in identifying legal issues.
