Responsibilities

  • Providing global legal advice and guidance on employment law and human resources matters.
  • Performing legal research and analysis on employment law issues.
  • Handling employment-related complaints and litigation, and managing corporate business practices related to employment law.
  • Providing project direction and supervision of outside counsel on domestic and international matters.
  • Driving process and program improvements through best practices and toolkits.
  • Analyzing, drafting, negotiating, reviewing, and revising agreements and policies related to employment relationships.
  • Monitoring legal developments to ensure timely adjustments to policies and practices.
  • Developing and conducting training and workshops on employment law solutions.
  • Facilitating employment and labor law support for M&A activities.
  • Providing practical legal and strategic counsel to executives on employee-related matters.

Requirements

  • Requires a law degree (Juris Doctor or comparable) and admission to practice law in the US or Canada.
  • Six or more years of legal experience focused on labor and employment law in a corporate or law firm environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of US employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent judgment and integrity in handling sensitive information.
  • Superior analytical skills and independent judgment for problem-solving.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across various functions and levels.
  • Experience in operationalizing legal solutions in a global organization.
  • Strong communication, research, writing, and analytical skills.
