About the position

The Branch Representative at WEOKIE Federal Credit Union is responsible for delivering exceptional service to both Members and non-Members, encouraging them to choose the Credit Union as their primary financial services provider. This role involves building strong relationships with Members, addressing their financial needs, and promoting Credit Union products and services. The representative will also handle account processing, maintain compliance with policies, and contribute to a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Consultatively interact with Members to help meet their spoken and unspoken financial needs.
  • Proactively recommend Credit Union products and services and accurately address Members' service needs.
  • Educate Members on ease of use and convenience services, including technology.
  • Accurately process new accounts for new and existing Members and perform maintenance on Members' accounts as requested.
  • Open and maintain IRA, trust, and business accounts, including data entry and paperwork processing.
  • Ask open-ended questions to uncover additional opportunities to save Members money and/or time.
  • Ensure proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed.
  • Proactively identify qualified referrals for Members that will save time and money.
  • Assist Members with questions regarding WFCU products and services and resolve complaints.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties such as end of day activities, creating reports, filing, answering phones, and maintaining supplies.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Must be able to learn and apply a variety of software applications.
  • Prior experience in a financial environment with management knowledge is preferred.
