About the position

The Counselor position at Meaningful Day Services is a full-time role focused on providing therapy services to a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, couples, families, adults, and elders. The position emphasizes a collaborative and inclusive work culture, where counselors are expected to advocate for their clients and implement effective treatment plans. Counselors will work both in-office and remotely, contributing to a supportive and technology-enhanced environment that values employee development and client care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with client coordination team to maintain calendar and session availability.
• Meets with clients to assess their needs, provides complete diagnosis, and determines manageable problem focus and treatment priorities in collaboration with clients.
• Interacts effectively with each client and their support systems to produce behavioral, cognitive, and/or emotional changes that meet treatment goals.
• Evaluates client progress and revises treatment plans as needed.
• Utilizes counseling modalities in which staff is trained and competent, and informs supervisor if competencies do not meet a client's needs.
• Completes all necessary documentation such as treatment plans and assessments within required time parameters for each client.

Requirements

• A minimum master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, or counseling.
• At least one-year experience in the field of social services.
• Licensed in Indiana as LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT.
