About the position

The Count Team Associate at Plainridge Park Casino is responsible for fostering a fun and engaging environment while ensuring the accurate counting and processing of cash and tickets. This entry-level position involves working closely with guests and co-workers to promote a positive atmosphere and uphold company standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Foster a fun environment for guests and co-workers.
• Be a gracious host to all guests and co-workers.
• Promote a positive influence in the community and participate in company-sponsored events.
• Understand and adhere to company internal control systems and departmental policies.
• Remove cash boxes from slot machines and replace them with empty boxes following internal controls and regulations.
• Transport collected cash boxes to the Count Room following a predetermined route.
• Ensure key control procedures are followed during cash handling.
• Operate automated currency equipment to count and process tickets and currency from cash boxes.
• Prepare Cash Storage Box Reports with supporting documentation from cash counting.
• Package currency and tickets into predetermined amounts for later use by the Main Bank or deposit.
• Transport verified tickets and currency to the Main Bank and ticket storage area following regulations.
• Complete daily maintenance and cleaning of Count Room equipment.
• Work professionally with other departments to complete tasks.
• Answer routine questions from co-workers and lead daily task completion.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Enjoy hosting and initiating conversations with guests.
• Physically mobile with the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, stooping, stacking, crouching, kneeling, and balancing.
