About the position
The Counter Sales Associate at Famous Supply is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to contractor customers in the plumbing and HVAC sectors. This role involves assisting customers in person and over the phone, processing orders, and ensuring a clean and organized counter area. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and possesses knowledge in plumbing and HVAC to enhance customer interactions and service efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service
- Understand customer needs
- Provide the products and solutions to meet customer needs
- Process and schedule customer orders
- Process customer cash and credit card payments
- Manage Open Orders and customer Bids
- Pull orders from the warehouse to serve customers
- Keep counter area clean and organized
Requirements
- HVAC and/or Plumbing knowledge
- Customer service mindset
- Ability to use computer
- Ability to stand on feet for majority of an 8-hour day
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
