About the position
The Counter Sales Associate at Aireco Supply, Inc. is responsible for selling HVAC/R equipment and supplies to contractors while providing exceptional customer service. This role involves processing transactions, generating sales, and maintaining the branch's appearance. The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions such as providing pricing, quotes, processing orders, and managing returns.
- Generate new and repeat sales by educating customers about products.
- Proactively recommend items needed by the customer to increase customer satisfaction and improve profitability.
- Support and maintain branch appearance, assisting with stocking shelves and merchandising.
- Provide excellent customer service at the counter while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Assist customers with their HVAC parts and equipment needs both in person or via telephone.
- Build and maintain customer relationships.
- Work in a team environment, supporting multiple product lines.
- Provide quality customer service.
- Participate in trainings to maintain and grow knowledge of products and skills.
Requirements
- Clean driving record
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Excellent organization skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Computer skills and willingness to learn new operational procedures
- Knowledge of HVAC systems is helpful but not required
- Counter or outside sales experience preferred
