About the position

The Counter Sales Representative plays a vital role in connecting customers with automotive services in a fast-paced and engaging environment. This position requires a personable individual who is proactive in learning and improving their skills. The representative will document customer concerns, explain service options, and coordinate vehicle repairs while ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers as they arrive in a pleasant and professional manner
• Answers incoming phone calls and schedules appointments promptly and professionally
• Utilizes point of sale software to quote, follow up on quotes, and book new business
• Works collaboratively with technicians to communicate work order requirements and customer requests
• Processes cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers and records the amounts received
• Assists manager with inventory, estimates, vendors, and customer issues as necessary
• Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area
• Moves vehicles as needed to facilitate repairs
• Assists in conducting quarterly and annual inventory of company assets
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the manager

Requirements

• Previous service advisor and/or mechanic experience preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift over 30 pounds
• Successful completion of background and reference checks
• Sales experience of 2 years required
• Auto repair or auto repair sales experience of 1 year required
