About the position

The Counter Salesperson at Third Coast Distributing plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships with customers. This position involves operating cash registers, navigating catalog systems, and ensuring a clean and safe store environment while adhering to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer experiences.
• Operate a cash register and navigate computer and paper catalog systems.
• Effectively communicate features, benefits, and warranty policy information to customers.
• Demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude and maintain professional conduct and appearance at all times.
• Assist other NAPA team members in answering customer questions using parts knowledge.
• Maintain current promotional material and in-store displays.
• Ensure overall cleanliness of the front counter, sales floor, and back areas.
• Understand and comply with all Company policies.
• Protect self, co-workers, and customers by maintaining a safe and clean store environment.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year experience working in a retail environment.
• Prior automotive background or knowledge is preferred.
• Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems is a plus.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and exciting environment.
• Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in automotive parts sales or knowledge of automotive parts.
