About the position

The Counter Sales/Warehouse Associate at Holt Electric is responsible for assisting customers during the sales process, maintaining product knowledge, and supporting warehouse functions. This role emphasizes customer service, effective communication, and teamwork, while also promoting new products and managing inventory. Associates are expected to contribute to a positive work environment and uphold safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers during the sales process using ERP software while maintaining a professional sales demeanor.
• Track and fulfill sales orders by picking orders, creating appropriate documentation, and placing follow-up calls.
• Maintain and develop customer relationships.
• Receive and store inventory in a safe and correct manner.
• Record damaged or defective materials.
• Stay up to date on product knowledge and generate product stock requests.
• Create and maintain positive working relationships and a safe and clean environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of one year experience in the electrical industry and/or knowledge of electrical products.
• Ability to effectively communicate, stay organized, and work within a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and traverse the warehouse with or without accommodation.
• Basic problem-solving skills and computer skills.
• Completion of EDGE and EPEC Bronze Level or commitment to complete such training within 18 months of starting job assignment.
