About the position

The Counter Sales/Warehouse Associate at Bridgestone HosePower, LLC is responsible for providing exceptional customer service at the retail counter while also assisting with various warehouse duties. This role involves helping customers select the best products, fulfilling orders, and maintaining an organized stock. The position requires a motivated self-starter who can work independently and is willing to learn about hydraulic hose identification and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site counter assistance to customers to determine the best products for their needs.
• Fulfill orders based on incoming tickets for customer pick-up or shipping.
• Identify hydraulic hoses and assist with on-site fabrication (training provided).
• Display merchandise and suggest selections that meet customer needs, emphasizing selling points.
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Discuss the use and features of various hoses and products, making recommendations based on customer needs.
• Resolve or alert management regarding inventory issues or customer concerns.
• Prepare sales orders or quote requests.
• Maintain stock in an organized fashion on shelves or in proper locations.
• Uphold environmental health and safety standards.
• Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a retail sales setting.
• Experience using a forklift; valid certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and move over 50 lbs.
• Practical knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to use hand tools and run equipment such as saws and crimpers.
• Comfortable reading a tape measure.
• Beginner to intermediate to advanced user of the Internet and Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work independently and with little direction after proper training.
