About the position

The Counter Sales/Warehouse position at Dealers Supply Company is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing sales transactions, and maintaining the warehouse and store environment. Responsibilities

• Ensure outstanding customer service by greeting and acknowledging every customer.
• Pull and load customer orders efficiently.
• Unload and load delivery trucks as needed.
• Answer customer inquiries regarding product location, pricing, and usage.
• Calculate sales discounts and total prices for customers.
• Obtain and receive merchandise as requested by customers.
• Process sales transactions accurately and maintain cash accountability.
• Assist in merchandising, display maintenance, and store housekeeping.
• Participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock, ensuring prompt re-wraps.
• Stock shelves and arrange merchandise to promote sales effectively.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including loss prevention measures.
• Communicate requests and issues to management as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of retail or customer service experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and associates.
• Capability to work independently under stressful conditions.
• Proficient in handling material needs and inventory control issues.
• Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and documents.

Nice-to-haves

• Complete working knowledge of wholesale distribution store operations.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
• Familiarity with HVAC industry tools and materials.
• Experience with warehouse control and inventory management.
