About the position

We are seeking a Counter/Sales professional to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, focusing on customer service and sales tasks related to car rental services, ensuring a smooth and satisfactory experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide superior customer service to customers at the counter, assisting with their car rental needs.
  • Upsell services and upgrades to customers at the counter to maximize sales.
  • Accurately process customer credit applications for car rentals.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions according to company policies.
  • Verify the necessary paperwork of customers leaving with vehicles and check for any damages when cars are returned.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to company standards of conduct.
  • Utilize skills in field sales, inbound sales, retail, and customer service to increase sales and provide a superior customer service experience.
  • Adapt to schedule changes and be available for different shifts as required.
  • Ensure that all actions align with company policies and legal regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in various sales roles such as Annual Sales, Field Sales, Inbound Sales, Increase Sales, and Inside Sales
  • Demonstrated ability to maximize sales in a retail environment
  • Experience in big box retail and retail buying
  • Proficient in providing superior customer service and resolving customer service issues
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Familiarity with sales strategies and industry trends
  • High level of professionalism and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer complaints effectively
  • Proficient in the use of sales management software and CRM systems
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
