The County Casework Manager 1 position at Pike County Children & Youth Services is responsible for supervising and overseeing various child abuse and neglect services, including investigations, in-home services, and placement services. This role involves managing County Casework Supervisors, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and representing the agency in various capacities. The position is full-time and offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on children, youth, and families in the community.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and oversee County Casework Supervisors.
- Monitor, evaluate, and coordinate work in each operational unit.
- Represent the agency in the absence of the Administrator at boards and community service organizations, and during hearings.
- Ensure services are provided in accordance with objectives, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies, practices, and standards.
- Perform administrative and supervisory functions, including preparation of the annual plan and budget, and training new supervisors.
Requirements
- Three years of experience in public or private social work, including one year in a public welfare program and one year in a supervisory capacity.
- A bachelor's degree supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
