About The Position

The County Extension Agent - Family & Consumer Sciences is responsible for conducting community-based educational programs aimed at empowering individuals, families, and communities in areas such as nutrition, family well-being, health, food safety, and economic self-sufficiency. This role involves collaboration with a diverse audience and local volunteers to enhance participation and support within the county.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in family & consumer sciences or a related field.
• Must have transportation for use on the job with liability insurance.
• Ability to pass a background check including Arkansas Child Abuse & Neglect Central Registry records.
• Knowledge in one or more family & consumer sciences subject matter areas appropriate to the county assignment.
• Ability to speak and write clearly and communicate ideas effectively.
• Ability to work long, irregular hours and travel frequently.
