About the position

The Driver/Operator position at FedEx involves the delivery and pick-up of packages using company vehicles. The role requires providing excellent customer service while ensuring that shipments conform to FedEx's service standards. The position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule during the PM shift.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate company vehicles for package delivery and pick-up.
• Ensure courteous and efficient service during deliveries.
• Check shipments for compliance with FedEx service features.
• Provide related customer service functions.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with assistance or equipment.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance required for customer contact.
• Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.
• Medical exam required in accordance with FHWA or FAA regulations.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
