The Courier/DOT position at Federal Express Corporation involves the operation of company vehicles to ensure the timely and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. On Tuesday through Friday, the working hours are from 8:50 AM to 2:00 PM, and on Saturday, the hours are from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Responsibilities
- Drive and operate company vehicles for package delivery and pick-up.
- Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service features.
- Provide customer service functions related to deliveries and pick-ups.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance.
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
- Neat appearance required due to customer contact.
- Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.
- Medical exam required in accordance with FHWA or FAA regulations.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
