The Courier/Independent Contractor position involves delivering packages for Ameriship Parcel Delivery, a leader in medical overnight and courier delivery services. The role requires drivers to use their own van or box truck to complete daily routes, primarily in Florida, with a focus on punctuality, reliability, and excellent customer service. This position is suitable for self-motivated individuals who can manage their time effectively and handle physical demands associated with package delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver packages to residential and business addresses using a van or box truck.
• Complete daily routes efficiently, ensuring all pickups and deliveries are made on time.
• Maintain a reliable vehicle for deliveries and ensure it meets company standards.
• Use handheld devices and smartphones to assist with deliveries and route management.
• Lift packages weighing up to fifty pounds without assistance.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must possess a van or box truck for deliveries.
• Minimum age of 21 years.
• No DUI/DWI within the last ten years.
• Pass a background verification.
• Ability to drive Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend availability.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with FedEx, UPS, or other parcel delivery services is preferred.
• Verifiable work history in delivery services.
