About the position

As a Courier/Non-DOT driver for Federal Express Corporation, you will be responsible for the delivery and pick-up of packages in a courteous and efficient manner. This role involves operating company vehicles that are not regulated by section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. You will check shipments to ensure they conform to FedEx's features of service and provide related customer service functions. Your duties will also include performing other tasks as assigned by your supervisor or management team. This position requires a neat appearance due to customer contact and the ability to maintain a constant state of alertness while working safely.

Responsibilities

• Driver/operator of company vehicles.
• Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages.
• Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service.
• Provides related customer service functions.
• Drives vehicles not regulated by section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Good human relations and communication skills.
