About the position
The Courier/Swing Driver position at Federal Express Corporation involves operating company vehicles to ensure the timely and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. The role requires providing excellent customer service while adhering to safety regulations and company policies. The driver will cover assigned routes within the service area and perform additional duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles for the delivery and pick-up of packages.
- Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service features.
- Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
- Perform related customer service functions.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Six months of courier experience preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance.
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
