The Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger plays a vital role in creating an outstanding customer experience by providing exceptional service and maintaining a clean and safe environment. This part-time position involves bagging groceries, assisting customers, and ensuring that the store operates smoothly while adhering to safety and food regulations.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers, ensuring at least five items per bag without damage.
• Assist in removing merchandise from the bottom of the bascart for checkout.
• Help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts to designated areas.
• Clean spills and pick up trash inside the store and parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside of the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand the store's layout and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repair needs.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product-related questions.
• Report safety risks, illegal activity, and adhere to all laws and company guidelines.
