About the position
The Courtesy Clerk position involves assisting customers and clerks in a retail environment, primarily focusing on bagging purchased items, maintaining store cleanliness, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.
Responsibilities
- Bag the customers purchases
- Assist customers to their vehicles with their purchases
- Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lots and surrounding areas
- Maintain cleanliness of the checkstand area
- Maintain cleaning and bagging supplies in the checkstand area
- Return non-purchased items to their proper shelf location
- Assist customers with their questions
- Secure price verification for clerks
- Maintain routine sweeping of the sales floor
- Break down and collect cardboard boxes
- Handle clean-ups as required throughout the store
- Other related duties as required
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- A valid work permit if under the age of 18
- Ability to read aisle markers, shelf tags and prices, and labels
- Must possess efficient hand-eye coordination and be able to perform basic math calculations
- Must maintain a sense of integrity
Benefits
- Hourly Pay Range: $16.10 - $16.30
- Covered under the UFCW union agreement
