About the position

The D. E. Shaw group is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Technical Product Manager to join its newly formed private equity venture, Cove. This role focuses on leading product development for Cove's internal technology platform and tools, particularly in creating AI-driven applications that support various investment and non-investment workstreams. The position offers a collaborative and innovative working environment, allowing the candidate to shape the growth of the team as an early member.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development for Cove's internal technology platform and tools.
• Define product specifications and roadmaps.
• Manage project timelines and coordinate technical implementations.
• Drive the integration of innovative tools that enhance investment workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher with a strong academic and professional record.
• 2-5 years of experience in developing technology products with development teams.
• At least 1 year of experience in building workflow products that support business activities.
• Experience in taking a product from conception to completion, ideally in a startup environment.
• Ability to read and execute code, with a strong understanding of technical aspects of product development.
• Experience leveraging LLMs to build features, tools, or products.
