About the position

The CPA - Certified Public Accountant position at Flanagan - Bilton LLC involves providing essential support to a supervisory attorney, focusing on research, data entry, and managing various administrative tasks. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and co-workers. This is an in-office position with a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Providing daily support to supervisor
  • Conducting heavy research
  • Managing department billing
  • Tracking appeal deadlines
  • Appealing property values, including gathering and entering property values and tax rates into the database
  • Preparing paperwork for appeal (i.e., form, cover letter, etc.)
  • Coordinating hearings internally and with local officials nationwide
  • Reporting personal property tax values to local governments, including filing the personal property rendition
  • Managing the database of electronic client files
  • Generating client reports as requested
  • Answering and routing incoming phone calls
  • Processing mail and incoming correspondence

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Bachelor of Science or Business & Management preferred)
  • Two years of office experience
  • Minimum Cumulative Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
