About the position

The Client Accounting Services (CAS) Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the CAS department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting and advisory services to clients. This role involves managing a team of accounting professionals, developing and maintaining client relationships, and implementing strategies to improve department efficiency and service quality. The Senior Manager will play a crucial role in fostering a collaborative team environment, promoting professional growth, and ensuring that the team meets the needs of clients effectively. In this position, the Senior Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing their needs and ensuring their satisfaction. This includes developing and maintaining strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to expand service offerings. The Senior Manager will oversee the delivery of various accounting services, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll processing, and tax compliance, ensuring that all services are delivered accurately, timely, and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Additionally, the Senior Manager will be responsible for strategic planning and execution, developing and implementing strategies to enhance the efficiency and quality of services provided by the CAS department. This includes identifying and implementing process improvements, leveraging technology, and best practices to optimize service delivery. Financial management is also a key aspect of this role, as the Senior Manager will monitor department financial performance, manage budgets, and ensure profitability while assisting in the development of pricing strategies and proposals for new and existing clients. Compliance and risk management are critical components of the Senior Manager's responsibilities, ensuring adherence to all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and firm policies while identifying and managing potential risks related to client accounting services. Furthermore, the Senior Manager will provide clients with strategic advice and insights based on their financial data, assisting them in understanding their financial statements and making informed business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with leading and managing a team of accounting professionals, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand service offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in a client-facing role, preferably within a professional services or accounting firm.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
